When going to buy makeup, it is important to check the components and make sure you are putting safe products on your face. Talc is a popular ingredient in makeup, but it has a long documented history of asbestos contamination. Talcum powder is still an ingredient in a number of cosmetics brands. As recently as November 2020, a study found 14% of the talc-containing makeup tested also contained asbestos.
