It is Pride Month ,which is an excellent opportunity to take our healthy habits and focus on self-care up a few notches. When you are feeling healthy from the inside, you can feel like the best version of you, starting with healthy skin. Healthy dewy skin is key to feeling confident during Pride Month. Let’s get our skincare routine set up to help you achieve a glowing complexion. Cleansing your face twice a day, followed by toner, eye cream, vitamin C serum and moisturizing. It goes with out saying incorporate sunscreen to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. After exfoliating I love to slather my skin with a face oil over night to really get my skin super soft. Pride Day Makeup! I am asked all the time, “How do I get my foundation to go on flawlessly?” Over moisturize and LET IT SINK IN. We all moisturize but go on to add the foundation and concealer before it has had a chance to sink in. Answer: Slather your face with moisturizer and sunscreen, let it set in for ten minutes. Finish your hair or get dressed while you wait. Start your eye makeup, brows, and your face is nicely hydrated, to start with concealer and foundation. Your skin is going to be glowing!
Hydrating is EVERYTHING on a hot day, especially when we are having cocktails. Here is a DIY you can do!
Add Coconut water to your water bottle.
Make ice cubes using fresh squeezed lemon juice, a pinch of Himalayan salt. Fill up your water bottle with the cubes, you will have nice cold water that is a natural electrolyte.
Make homemade Sports Gel out of 8 pitted Medjool Dates, Juice of 1-2 lemons, 2 TBL agave, honey or maple syrup and 1/4 t of Himalayan sea salt in a food processor with an S blade. Blend until smooth. Put in a Tupperware or a snack zip lock bag.
