Glitter Lashes and Lips: Glam Halloween Costume Alternatives

Halloween and makeup go together like candy and corn. Both are great on their own, but one time each year you get the chance to put them together and make something awesome. This week, Christina Flach uses her magic on California Live with NBC to show how you can create a dazzling and spooky halloween look on a budget. One super simple way to create a fun Halloween look is with glitter lashes and glitter lips. Follow the steps below to get started:

• GLITTER LASHES

  • Supplies: Toothpick, Fake Lashes, Glitter of Choice, Glue

  • Put glue on the tip of the toothpick

  • Make a small line with glue to the base of the fake lash

  • Let it dry then apply the fake lash as normal

• GLITTER LIPS

  • Supplies: Lip Scrub, Sticky Lip Gloss, Lip Liner, Lipstick, Glitter of Choice, Tape

  • Use a lip scrub to prep and hydrate your lips (1 tbsp of coconut oil with brown sugar)

  • Outline lips with scotch tape to keep glitter in place

  • Outline your lips with bold red lip liner (or any color you like!)

  • Add lipstick

  • Apply a heavy amount of lipgloss (the stickier the better!)

  • Select any color glitter you want and pour it on a plate

  • Lean over sink and put your lips to the plate of glitter

You can use coconut oil or soap and water to wash it off! Have fun and happy halloween!
